All New Smashfest Photos!

I compiled all the daily updates into one BIG drop =) It was fun shooting this tournament and I have to say that I look forward to the Mark Grantham 2011 coming up in 2 weeks ^,^ I hope everyone is hyped up to play b/c I know I am!

Smashfest photos are up!!

Smashfest was very fun to shoot. =) I recall last year's fiasco and I'm glad the organizers have turned the tournament around. The games were also very exciting and well paced. I even caught myself wanting to just drop my camera and play on many occasions! ^,^

I know you're all drooling for photos... and here comes the first set! I'll be making daily updates to the gallery so visit regularly to catch the new photos =)

I hope everyone had a great time at the tournament and are now all pumped up for the Mark Grantham tournament coming up in a little less than 3 weeks ^.^

2011 OU Smashfest today!!

A week has passed and the 2011 OU Smashfest starts today! For anyone interested in watching the games, I have posted their schedule below. The draws have also been posted here in case you want to cheer for a friend =)

Jan 14 (6pm to 10pm with 8 Courts)
-Men's Doubles (6:00pm start)
-Women's Doubles (6:30pm start)

Jan 15 (9am to 10pm with 4 Courts)
-Mixed Doubles (9:00am start)
-Open Singles (4:00pm start)

OU Smashfest coming soon!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful time over the holidays.
As all the badminton clubs in Ottawa start up again, we have more people getting ready for the upcoming tournaments. The first? The 2011 OU Smashfest tournament on January 14th and 15th!

So for those of you interested in playing in the tournament, there are still openings available although they are closing fast! You can find the flyer here. In case you're wondering about your competition, a list of currently registered participants here.
